Groovy D - Rock Da Place EP

Nottingham’s Groovy D slides TENTEN a grab bag of hard house, garage, UK funky and breaks grooves as chunky as a pair of Air Force 1s. The main attraction of the EP is a duo of hill-descending hard house knockers, “Rock Da Place” and “Shake That”, both of which are sent into overdrive by frenzied cowbell thwacks. The UK funky of “Symbiotic” churns a mean-mugged tech bassline as wisps of balloons fly off and a helium-fueled sample gets you “on some Jet Li sh*t”. “Love Me Less” ends on a cloudy, deep-in-the-feels note that makes even the jungle bassline seem like a fuzzy hug.
